Uniform & Dress Policy

At Cayman Academy, our uniform is a symbol of pride, belonging, and discipline. We expect that every student will present himself/herself in a clean and pressed uniform each day. The school reserves the right to determine what styles are acceptable.

"Students are expected to adhere to the dress policies as it relates to the length of skirts, length of hair and hair styles."

Boys' Uniform

Primary Division (Years 1-6)

Hairstyles Policy

Boys' Standards

  • Hair must be kept neat, clean, and well-groomed.
  • Max length: 2 inches (measured stretched).
  • Must not cover eyes, ears, or collar.
  • No extreme styles or designs.

Girls' Standards

  • Natural hair color only (no highlights/dyes).
  • Braids/protective styles are permitted.
  • Extensions: Shoulder-length or shorter.
  • Accessory colors: Black, white, forest green, navy blue.
  • Beads: Black or crystal (Not permitted for ELC to Year 1).

PE & Jewelry

Physical Education

  • KitHouse color dry-fit shirt & navy shorts
  • UsageOnly on designated PE days

Jewelry & Makeup Policy

Students are NOT allowed to wear or possess:

  • Rings, necklaces, bracelets, or earrings.
  • Eyebrow pencils, eye shadow, or lipstick.
Items caught will be confiscated.

Dress Down Days $2.00 Fee

Usually the last Friday of each month. Street clothes permitted under these guidelines:

Boys
  • Appropriate fitting long/short pants.
  • No negative messages (skulls, guns, daggers, etc.).
  • No belts with decorative buckles.
  • No open back shoes, slippers, or flip flops.
Girls
  • Bermuda, Capri, or long pants (No tight fitting/leggings).
  • Skirts to the knee (leggings allowed under skirt).
  • Blouses must have sleeves & no negative messages.
  • No cut-outs, open back shoes, or flip flops.

Note: Students dressed improperly will lose dress-down privileges for the next two occurrences.

Footwear & Bags

Daily Shoes

All students must wear professional, polishable black leather shoes. Canvas, suede, or trainer-style shoes are not permitted for daily uniform.

School Bags

Backpacks should be sturdy. We recommend neutral colors (black, navy, or dark grey) without excessive patterns or branding.
