Graduation Ceremony 2018

Cayman Academy graduated its largest ever Year 12 class Sunday, June 24, awarding diplomas to 23 students. The ceremony was held at The Ritz-Carlton.

Also for the first time, the graduating class was joined by the school’s first Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations graduate, Devonnie McEwan, since the two-year program was introduced at the school in 2016.

Cayman Academy congratulates:

Liran Blake and Jeremy Scott who have been selected for the Cayman Islands National Youth Volleyball team.

Danielle Bailey, Rachel Pascal and Maliek Copeland who represented the Cayman Islands at the Carifta Games. Rachel Pascal won a bronze medal for the Cayman Islands in the javelin throw.


Cayman Academy was placed 6th overall and won the Small Schools Championship trophy.


Cayman Academy along with the Health Ministries Department of Cayman Islands Conference of Seventh-day Adventists has launched the program, “I want to Live Healthy”, to promote a healthy lifestyle among our students. It is an 8-week adventure towards forming healthier habits, where the teachers and students are invited to start one healthy habit each week. We are currently in week 2.

Congratulations to Colindra-Rodericka Sterling for being nominated for the Young Musician of the Year award.


Cayman Academy’s snuggle up and read session will be on the 30th of May 2019 from 6pm to 8pm at Cayman Academy.


Thalia Naranjo, Nia-Shae Wedderburn and Colindra—Rodericka Sterling emerged as finalists in this year’s national competition ‘Poetry Slam’. Colindra went on to place third overall and received a cheque of $300.00. We congratulate all three girls for an excellent job.


Parents/Guardians are reminded that students are to be collected promptly by or before 4:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday and by 1:00 pm. on Friday. We cannot stress the importance of doing so enough and ask that you comply with the policy of the School. Note that After School Care ends at 5:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday and 3:00pm on Friday.

Tuition Fee

The annual tuition has been broken into three payments to facilitate planning. Fees are to be paid on the first working day of each term. For other payment arrangements, parents are required to sign a contract agreeing to the terms outlined. There is a $50.00 late payment fee.

Failure to pay by the first Monday of the upcoming month will result in your child being asked to remain at home until the fees are paid. Students will not be allowed to sit their termly final exams if tuition fees are not paid in full.

All visitors having to transact business with Cayman Academy are asked to check with the security guard and the office before contacting any teacher or student on campus. Please note that students from other Schools are not allowed on campus. Note that permission must be sought for any prolonged stay on campus.

Deadline for Bible Connection Challenge

All interests are reminded of the Sabbath, 16 June deadline for submission of names of winners for the various zones participating in the Bible Connection Challenge.
